Faculty of Film, Television and Media at GNA University, Phagwara had a gala celebration of “International Animation Day” with an objective to create awareness among students about the art of animation and importance of the day.
Mr. Manpal Setia, the owner of “Dream Factory” a studio in Chandigarh inaugurated the day with “Animation Workshop and Seminar” by a Visual Communication designer and comic artist. He enlightened the target students about “Aesthetics of Animation and Design.”
The day was filled with many competition based events like Poster Design, Digital Design and 3D Gaming. Kiran and Arshdeep Singh from B.Sc. Animation Semester 1 bagged the first and second prize in Poster Design Competition. Harman from B.Sc. Animation Semester 3 and Balwinder Bansal Semester 5-VFX 1 secured the first and second prize in Digital Design. Tarun from B.Sc. Animation Semester 5- CG and Navkaran Pal singh Semester 5 – VFX bagged the first and second prize in 3D Gaming.
The day concluded with the prize distribution ceremony where Mr. Pamil Arora, Head, Faculty of Film, Television and Media shared his experience and acknowledged the endeavours of the students and appreciated the efforts of his team of Film, Television and Media.
