A three days event named “StartUp Workshop” was conducted by ‘Centre for Family Business and StartUps’ at GNA University in association with InCube8er, Ludhiana. The event was designed in such a manner that all the participants came up with one business idea and presented it amongst all the participants.
On day one, participants went to market and tried to know about the market responses of the product/service they seek to come up with. After analyzing the market responses, they made the required changes in the business plan and finally put into the presentation form.
On second day, mentors were called to provide assistance to budding entrepreneurs, who guided the participants and gave advises regarding various problems faced by them.
On the final day, the presentation of business plans prepared by participants were presented in front of panel comprising 3 Jury members who were specialized in various fields, where two of them were self-made entrepreneurs and one among them was having experience of working with various companies of international repute. Every presentation was followed by question and answer round by Jury members and other guests present.
Vice Chancellor – Dr Prem Kumar motivated the students and said that success is possible. They need to take risk and just dive into the opportunities. He asked students to be innovative and start up their future and learn from local entrepreneurial role-models and just get started. He also added that politicians don’t create jobs, entrepreneurs do.
Mr. Sunil Sarad – Registrar, Mr. Jashandeep Singh– Head, Centre for Family Business and Startups were also present to grace the event. The event came up to be a huge success and every participant was highly motivated and were all set to go to next level of execution.
